Privacy Policy — Scrivo: Image Picker (Chrome Extension)

This Privacy Policy explains how the Scrivo: Image Picker Chrome extension collects, uses, stores, and protects information. It applies only to the browser extension — for Scrivo's website, desktop app, and mobile app, see our main Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following information:
- Account and authentication information, such as your email address and password, used to sign in to the extension
- Session information, such as authentication tokens, stored locally in your browser to keep you signed in
- Plan status, such as whether your account is on the Scrivo Pro plan, used to determine extension access
- Project information, such as the names of your active Scrivo projects (shown so you can choose where to save an image) and the images you choose to save
The extension does not collect your general browsing history or page content, and does not access any image on a page unless you click Save on it.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Sign you in and keep you signed in across browser sessions
- Verify your plan status, since this extension is available to Scrivo Pro accounts
- Let you choose which project to save an image to
- Save the images you choose into that project's storyboard/moodboard in your Scrivo account, the same way an image added through the Scrivo app would be
- Improve security, prevent abuse, and fix bugs
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Permissions This Extension Requests
- storage — to keep you signed in and remember your plan status between browser sessions
- Access to web pages you visit — to detect images on the page and show a Save button over them; the extension does not read or collect page content beyond the images you choose to save
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
The extension communicates only with Supabase, our hosting, database, and authentication provider, to sign you in and save images to your account. Supabase may only use information as needed to provide that service to Scrivo.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
5. Data Storage and Security
Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser using the extension's storage, and are not shared with any third party other than Supabase, which uses them to verify your session. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information; however, no system is completely secure.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.
6. Data Retention
Images you save through the extension are kept in your Scrivo account for as long as you keep them in your project, the same as any other content in Scrivo. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize associated data unless retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate business reasons.
7. Your Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account or data
- Export certain information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Children's Privacy
This extension is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International Users
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using this extension, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed internationally.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice where appropriate.
